Oct., 2010 we stayed in Memphis at the Sleep Inn, excellent choice! Very reasonable, the Loop Trolley ($.40) stops right by the back entrance and takes you down to Beale Street, downtown, etc. Terrific b'fast, very clean rooms, great service. Some don't miss places: Rock and Soul Museum, the Civil Rights Museum (plan on a day for each!), BB King's Blues and BarBQ Club, best ribs we've ever had. Of course also cruising night-time Beale Street, an experience by itself, blues music from every doorway and alley. And that trolley will take you to all of it. almost 8 years ago
I am booking a hotel in Lithue for 7 days...is there enough to do to keep us busy for the full 7 days? ...any suggestions
I presume you'll have a car to get around. There haven't been inter-island ferries for a number of years and flying between islands has gotten very expensive since Aloha Airlines was driven out of business in a price war with GO! Airline, which has now raised their own fares. A terrific experience we had was taking a guided ATV trip into the back country, Jurrasic Park film locations, etc. A full day trip, but worth it. If you golf, there are some great courses, but non-residents pay dearly. almost 8 years ago
Thanks Hillary, that eases my mind. We're looking forwards to a great time, thanks for your help. Bruce about 8 years ago
