What's the best way to travel from Sydney to New York?

With high competition on the Sydney to LA routes, prices there are relatively low. I would highly recommend looking at getting a flight Sydney to LA, then making your connection on another flight from LA to NYC. Should be much cheaper than flying the full length on Quantas. This little trick saves more than 25% of the price on flights from Canada (Toronto, Montreal, Ottawa) to Sydney, so I would be willing to bet the same would go for Sydney to NYC. over 8 years ago

Are there any good ski fields in Ontario?

Blue Mountains area, about an hour outside of Toronto, is as good as it gets in Ontario. There are about 5 resorts on the Blue Mountains (Blue Mountain being the main resort), but they are all different sides of the same hill. Some of the resorts are private for the rich Toronto crowd, but most are open to the public. Vertical height is not high, but probably bigger than most in the UK. If you don't mind driving a little futher, head East. If you make it to Ottawa, there are number of good hills in the Ottawa Valley. Quebec has the best of the East Coast - with Tremblant (Montreal) and Mont Ste. Anne (Quebec City) are the top. Jay Peak in Vermont is great for soft snow (closest to powder in the East) and glades. Hope that's helpful! about 8 years ago

Where are great places to go around March - April?

Go to Whistler in British Columbia, Canada, and do some spring skiing. Telus Ski and Snowboard festival is on during that time - great music, huge parties, cute girls in ski jackets, and tons of great skiing! That's where I'd go :) over 8 years ago
