@nukegvj: Hi, travelling solo anywhere is double the fun and exciting than travelling with a companion. So cheers to that! Anyhow, if you have just a week in your hands to spend in Costa you can check out this blog to figure out activities to do and places to visit while you are there. https://www.volunteeringsolutions.com/blog/things-to-do-in-costa-rica-while-volunteering/ hope this turns helpful. Where in the world can we go next winter for 3 months where the food is good and inexpensive and a beach nearby?
You can try spending your winters in Kerala, India. The climate is mind-blowing all year round and the food is GORGEous!! and yes, no dearth of beaches. I am not sure if you would want to stay there for entire three months 'cause India is a vast country and you certainly can avail lot of options to explore and visit. You can also choose to take up a volunteering program while you are in India for a short 3-4 weeks. check out some of the options here https://www.volunteeringsolutions.com/blog/things-to-do-in-india-while-volunteering/ Hope this was useful. Hi Nancy, While travelling in Peru, most of the major tourist attractions are located in and around the city of Cusco, such as Machu Pachu, Sacred Valley, Saksyawaman, Pucllana, etc. While these are few obvious visit locations that attracts major tourist footfalls, you can always look out for some off the track spots if you want some space and peace. Few tranquil places in Peru where you can just adore the nature are Paracas national reserve, Moray, Ampay National Sanctuary, etc. If you are looking for some real cheap and best shopping spot, then you can find it here http://www.volunteersmagazine.com/7-must-visit-markets-to-shop-while-volunteering-in-peru/ Have a safe and wonderful trip! over 4 years ago
