I'm in Rome for only 3 days in July. What's are my must do's?

There is way too much to see in 3 days... and in July it will be full of tourists. If you are there on a Sunday go to the flea market in Trastavere. This is also a great area to relax and have a coffee. Isola Tiberina is also a nice cool island to get away from the sweaty and smelly main streets. Standard tourist things (probably in order of interest): Colosseum Pantheon Trevi Fountain - plenty of great fountains in Rome probably the best known Palatine Hill Capitol Hill I suppose the Vatican city is a must if you like that sort of thing. For me it was a bit a collection of millions of dollars worth of stuff by the biggest 'philanthropic' organisation in the world... that you have to pay to see... over 10 years ago

Where can I buy the best fish and chips?

Well somewhere central. I am likely to stay in London during a stopover and I have never been, so I can't name areas I am likely to go. But lets say somewhere close to the Thames. Or is there somewhere else in the CBD that just has outstanding fish and chips? over 10 years ago

what are some good beaches in Catalonia not very touristic, is Cadaques nice

I stayed in a camping ground called Tres Estrellas in Castelldefels just south of Barcelona. The beach there was fantastic in the mornings. It was a 30 minutes bus ride from the city and reasonably priced. over 10 years ago

what would be the approx cost of living per week?

When I was there, a year ago, it was about 2 Reais to 1 Aussie dollar. Rio is relatively expensive compared to most places in Brasil. If you are living in a hostel you can find dorms for R$20-25 a day, you can pay about double that for single rooms. Food is rather expensive in Rio but there are plenty of supermarkets and little hidden food places. If you are on a budget stay away from the general tourist eateries. You can get away with about R$500 or so a week living comfortably (that is about A$300 current exchange rate) over 10 years ago
