Beginner skier and medium snowboarder - where is a fun, comfy, reasonably (for snow) chalet or hotel?

If you head south into South Tyrol/Südtirol (Italy) you can find cheaper accomodation and still close to big ski fields. You can find places near Bressanone/Brixen and Brunico for good prices. I know http://www.hotelgisser.it/ - it is very nice almost 11 years ago

Where can I can the biggest surf waves in Tasmania?

You know, once I thought these places in Tassie were pretty secret. Then I went to Azores in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean and gave a lift to a 16 year old hitchhiker who was going to the other side of the island to go body boarding and the first thing he said after I said I was from Tasmania was "ahh shipsterns" :O Two very well known places are Marrawah on the West Coast and Shipsterns in the South. http://www.surf-forecast.com/breaks/Shipstern-Bluff That surf forecast site has plenty of places to surf all over Tas and Aus. about 9 years ago

Are there any good camping sites around Kingdom Hut in the central plateau (Walls of Jerusalem)

There is plenty of space around the actual hut although the ground is a bit sloping in places. Here are some pictures of the area http://picasaweb.google.com/niko.e.roberts/WallsOfJerusalem#5323239138858129314 http://picasaweb.google.com/niko.e.roberts/WallsOfJerusalem#5323239378705006514 http://picasaweb.google.com/niko.e.roberts/WallsOfJerusalem#5323239550758037202 There are nicer sites down the valley a bit further near Lake Ball. There are no camping platforms near Dixon's Kingdom hut, the closest platforms are near Herods Gate. over 10 years ago

What to do and see in 2 days?

Well a feat of engineering to see is the bridge/tunnel over to Malmö http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Oresund_Bridge Going out in København is a lot of fun as well. There are plenty of really active pubs to have a lot of fun drinking. Checkout Christiana as well. Plenty of info about it here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Freetown_Christiania If you want to see the Little Mermaid statue it is a little small and disappointing but still something to do. The Carlsberg brewery is cool as well. over 10 years ago

How can I get from Kuala Lumpur to Malacca?

Lonely Planet I read wasn't relevant because renovations are going on at the main bus station. Currently you need to go to the LRT (metro) station Bukit Jalil on the Sri Penaling line and then catch a bus to Melaka from the bus station about 100m from the metro stop. Should be looking at $14RM one way per person. My advice would be to go directly to the tent with the counters and avoid the "worms" (translation of the local term for the hawkers selling tickets). Also ask how many stops the bus does. Otherwise a 2 hour trip can turn into a 4 hour one. Transnational is one of the companies that have buses leaving every 30 mins (this is what they say but delays happen frequently and hour gaps are more likely) almost 9 years ago

Cheapest way to get from Spain/Portugal to Florida in the summer?

Thanks, but we found much better deals with http://www.kayak.com Doing a Multiple Cities search we actually found flights From Madrid->(connection in Washinton)->Boston (July 24th) and Tampa, FL -> (connection in Newark) -> Lisbon (August 18th) for US$992 There are even cheaper if you go with youth tickets through places like http://www.statravel.com (sometimes like $400 return!) But these flights usually go through London Heathrow though so if you dont want delays... (hahaha good luck) The flights we got were basically to and from where we wanted to go so they were worth the extra money to reduce headache and put the responsibility on the airline to replace our tickets if delays caused us to miss our flights over 9 years ago
