Visit The Newark Museum, it's fabulous. With art and natural science exhibits, there's a lot to see. It really surpassed my expectations: www.NewarkMuseum.org JourneysNearandFar.com over 9 years ago
If you're looking for a nice beach in New Jersey, I recommend Ocean City. The town is family oriented with big, white sand beaches. There's also a boardwalk lined with shops, restaurants and things to do, like miniature golf and amusement rides. Great place! over 9 years ago
I suggest a day trip on West Highland Railway's Jacobite steam train, which travels from Ft. William to Mallaig. The scenery is gorgeous, as the train edges along lochs, wooded hills and heather-strewn fields, and at points you'll be able to see the ocean with the isles of Eigg and Rum in the distance. The train crosses the impressive Glenfinnan Viaduct (you'll recognize it from the Harry Potter movies) and you'll have an hour and a half or so to enjoy the fishing village of Mallaig before the return trip. From Mallaig, you can see the Isle of Skye. http://www.westcoastrailways.co.uk/Jacobite_Home.cfm Have a wonderful time! Melody JourneysNearandFar.com over 9 years ago
