Hi Rob There are a few. Halo in the Elizabeth Street Mall (access via lane way behind Purdy's Mart) can be good, mainly breaks and electronic styles but they do seem to get some good names coming through. Just an FYI the first Firday of every month it is used by by The Covern, dependent on your taste you might be interested. http://maps.google.com.au/maps/place?hl=en&um=1&ie=UTF-8&q=halo+nightclub+hobart&fb=1&gl=au&hq=halo+nightclub&hnear=hobart&cid=15846867683407633053 Syrup in Salamanca can also be good, located above Knopwoods Retreat.... (also a good spot for a beer or two) (http://hobart.citysearch.com.au/restaurants/1137405126165/Knopwoods+Retreat). Syrup is more of a 90s style music and older crowd. They do seem to host most of the Ministry of Sound events (when they come down) and Carl Cox was there this time last year! ;-) http://www.syrupclub.com/ Apart from that Richard and Michael have summed up the remaining good ones. Hope that helps. about 10 years ago
