I am a Brokepacker... in search of the greatest deals around... helping backpackers save $$$
Hell no.. it is not a bad idea! I don't want to categorically say that nothing is going to happen to it... (no one can guarantee that) but in my experience of travelling with a laptop... especially in Oz... it is all good!. I do recommend backing up where you can getting some Sound Travel Insurance. Id Check out how much it is to insure with World Nomads http://www.worldnomads.com/ and you might find that it is not that expensive... and definitely worthwhile. Plus you can use it as your internet source as a number of places have free WIFI about 9 years ago
what is the best backpackers in Sydney to stay at? Just looking for good value, fun (meet people), safe, good location to see the sites.
Yo Jubran... Depends what you are after mate! I am from brokepacker.com and so we get to check out quite a few of the hostels in Sydney... and let me tell you they are some of the coolest i have seen around the world. The majority of hostels are either in Kings Cross (which is Sydney's party district!) or in Central Sydney close to a lot of the sites and attractions. There are also some by the beach Bondi and Manly. There are loads to choose from. In Kings cross... there are plenty of cool options. a couple i have stayed at recently include Dlux, Evas, Brado's and they were all pretty funky, comfy and very vibey!! In the city I stayed at 790 on George St and it was absolutely brilliant too. Let me know more specifically what you are looking for and perhaps let me know if you are more up for partying or sightseeing... and then i can even better inform you! In the meanwhile check out some of the available discounts at some sydney hostels we offer https://brokepacker.com/hostel-discounts/ over 9 years ago
Planning my first ski trip - 3 ppl travelling (need ski hire etc). Wanting to travel during off-peak - has anyone seen a good package deal?
Jeremy... I work for YHA... and we are about to go live next week with our rates for this season. I'm not sure about packages... but i do Know you will be extremely hard pressed to find a cheaper accomodation than Thredbo YHA. You can stay from $50... and it's in Thredbo Village!! Veeeerrry difficult to beat! As you can imagine its not the biggest property and so there are only a limited amount of places (particularly during peak times) which are likey to be snapped up quick! hence follow this link and i urge you to call ASAP! http://www.yha.com.au/content/documents/thredbo%20ski%20flier_09.pdf Kev over 10 years ago
