What's a good SIM card for New Zealand (north island)?

I'm from US normally using Verizon. Bought a SIM from Vodaphone in AUK airport for $49 with 100min talk, 200 texts and 3gb data. I added 1 gb after ten days for the last two days for add'l $20. I used phone for google maps, researching sites, making reservations, hot spotting my computer, posting social media, getting pirated by my teenage sons in the RV. FYI hold onto the card until photos taken off. about 2 years ago

NEW ZEALAND: What's the best/most economical local cell phone carrier/coverage?

I bought a vodaphone SIM card in AUK airport for my iPhone 6. 3gb data, 100min talk an 200 texts with a NZ number. Added on 1gb toward the end of 10 days on the N Island. That may be better option for a shorter term trip. Verizon charged $20 a day to use my phone roaming. about 2 years ago
