Am I really required to show proof of the yellow fever vaccination when entering Rwanda?

Thank you for the thorough reply! I entered before the reply and would like to follow up. When I entered as a US citizen, I could purchase a visa on the spot for $30, without having registered beforehand. My passport was then inspected and no one asked me for vaccination proof. I thought perhaps since I had a very long layover in Addis Ababa which is on your list that perhaps I'd be asked, but no. So all was good. As another tip, my friend met me at the airport and knew which taxi to take, which was a local and not the more formal services which are more expensive. We paid 700RF which is about $0.70. I also exchanged my money at a little kiosk outside the airport in the airport. There are ATMs at banks in the city but I think this was more convenient and better rate. 10 months ago
