What is best transportation to Sapa from Hanoi, bus or train?

Hi, I have been in Sapa few times and my best experience is travel from Hanoi to Sapa by train. Take the overnight train at around 9 or 10 PM you will arrive Sapa in the next early morning. Soft bed train is comfortable enough to take a sleep so you can stand to discover most excited activity in Sapa - trekking :) The journey is about 8 - 10 hours. Travel by bus is less shorter than train, around 6 hours. However much more stress you may get because of the drivers often squeeze the horn on the way that prevent you sleep. over 2 years ago

Is it possible to visit the Mui Ne Sand Dunes for a Day from Ho Chi Mihn city?

It's possible. However you must depart from HCM in the late night, then get to Mui Ne in early morning. I think you'd better visit the sand dunes in early morning when the temperature is not too high and too hot. No one comes there after 9 AM. You may spend around 2 hours there, visit nearby beaches and back to HCM in the evening! over 2 years ago

How to get Sa Pa from Hanoi?

Hi, I prefer going to Sapa by train. I had great experience with Victoria train even though ticket fare seem to be double to others. But pretty nice services including evening snack, free wine, breakfast and most importantly a clean toilet. I booked tickets via Baolau https://www.baolau.com/s/hanoi/sapa Highly recommend to you guides! over 2 years ago
