Is the whole of Northbridge area in Perth, Western Australia, a terrible place or are there certain areas only that should be avoided?
Northbridge isn't that bad. When I go to Perth, I always go out to Northbridge, there are lots of nice restaurants, particularly towards the freeway end of James St. There is a reputation and in the past it has been pretty rough, but with higher Police presence now they seem to keep the rowdy drunkards at bay. And although there are lots of nightclubs in the area, there are also some good bars that dont attract the idiots who like to cause trouble. There are also so arty things to do in the city, nothing like Melbourne, but head up james street and there is a museum and library, performing arts studios and the like. Dont just stay in your appoartment, get out and enjoy the city! :) over 8 years ago
There are so many tour groups in the Exmouth/Coral Bay towns, but yes, an organised group is the only way to see them. there are restrictions on how close you can get to them and a tour operator will know the best places to go to see some. If you are staying in Exmouth, you can head out to Turquoise Bay to do some snorkling over the reef in a natural current will just float over, its really pretty and great to go swimming. No whale sharks but beautiful and recomended. Exmouth also have the Pier Drive, popular and suposed to be one of the top drive spots in WA. over 8 years ago
Does anyone know of any cheap accommodation on Hamilton Island which is part of the Whitsunday Islands off the east coast of Australia.
Good luck! Hamilton Island is quite pricey, but there is a range from average to expensive to "i earn to much" Also, there are child-free hotels on the island, so make sure you know where you are staying. Hamilton Island is beautiful, enjoy! over 8 years ago
