If I take light rail from Seattle airport how close can I get to the ferry terminal to Victoria BC?
Yes, walking is feasible. You will be walking by the waterfront which is quite beautiful and interesting. It is flat so if you have a rolling suitcase, you should have no problems. Be sure to allow time to explore the Pike Street Market which is nearby. almost 10 years ago

A few days in Seattle
Seattle is a city of neighborhoods, each with its own character. Do visit the downtown Pike Street Market as it is unique for our country. Walk on the waterfront, go to the outdoor sculpture garden, Pioneer Square for historic buildings. Take a bus to Freemont for a fun, funky neighborhood with lots of interesting shops and cafes. A tour to Blake Island and the N.W. Native long house with dinner or lunch is also fun and informative. The Duck tour company offers a lively tour on land & sea along with "Quakers!" If you have time, get yourself to Mt. Rainier--wonderful! over 9 years ago

Off the beaten path in Seattle.
Walk around Green Lake & you will see the locals enjoying the area. Freemont & Ballard are interesting real neighborhoods. Nordic Heritage Museum is in Ballard & is a mellow and interesting take on things Nordic. The U of WA campus is quite lovely--have coffee at the Burke Museum café while you are there. over 7 years ago
