Machu Picchu is a given. Pisac is the MOST amazing hiking I've ever done. Get your own taxi from the village to the trailhead, the bus tours only show you the first couple of ruins. Hiking on your own is when you really get to see the spectacular parts. Is it OK if I just share a blog post on Pisac with all the details, including one of the most memorable places I've ever stayed? http://www.thesoulofajourney.com/travel/destinations/peru/cuzco/pisac-an-incan-adventure/ If you decide to go down to Titicaca, the cheapest way is to take the bus down and the train back. The bus is luxurious and comfortable (use any of the major Peruvian/South American bus companies), and will stop at five different tourist sites that you'd NEVER get to see otherwise, and the scenery from the train is fantastic. almost 5 years ago
Hi ! I will start my trip in Rome and want to visit Croatia, so can you tell me which way is better to go(ferry or plane)and from what city?
You can take a train to Ancona (I assume?) then a ferry will take you directly to Split. Split is simply glorious, all built around a former Roman emperor's (Diocletian's) retirement palace. almost 5 years ago
