Any suggestions for a resort/hotel on the beach in st. John in the us virgin islands?

Caneel Bay is the best resort on St. John, but it is very pricey. What most people don't realize is that you can use their beach (It is public) even if you aren't staying there. The Marriot on St. Thomas is nice, but I have been to both and there is no comparison. The Marriot is only half the cost though. If you can afford it, go to St. John. There is no airport there and no crowds like you will find on St. Thomas and like you will find at The Marriot. No airport and no cruise ship terminal on St. John and also the fact that most of the island is a U.S. National Park make it very peaceful. The Marriot is always full because so many people travel their on loyalty points for free. The Marriot also has their time share condos right next door and that means more crowds at the beach. almost 5 years ago

Any suggestions on restaurants in st John in the us virgin islands.

Caneel Bay - Go for lunch and take in a swim or snorkel on their amazing public beach. They also have amazing (expensive) restaurants for dinner too. Rhumb Lines - Go for dinner and take in the fun ambiance in this open court restaurant. The food is great, but a bit pricey. Uncle Joe's - Go for lunch at this road side BBQ - no ambiance - just eating on picnic benches, but the food is good and cheap. Chateau Bordeax - for lunch - The best view on the island - Also right next to famous Reef Bay hiking trail. We had lunch and then hiked the trail. Note: The trail is long and you have to bring lots of water with you and get back before it is too dark. When we finished the trail, we were sitting on the side of the road and we couldn't see a local bus so a local person drove us to town. I felt very, very safe in St. John at all times and was not concerned about hitching a ride with any of the locals. almost 5 years ago

What is the best all inclusive resort in Aruba?

If you really want to go to an All Inclusive and you can afford it, I would recommend the Riu Palace. The Occidental is cheaper, but also nice. Your choice will depend on your budget. In my opinion, I would not stay All Inclusive in Aruba. There are so many restaurants just a short walk away from so many hotels in the Palm and Eagle beach areas. There is also a clean, safe, cheap ($2.30) public transportation system on the island and the bus will take you anywhere you need to go. almost 5 years ago
