Amsterdam. in 3 days. help me to plan out the iterenary ;)

The canal cruises around the city are really cheap. I paid 24 euros for 2 people and I think it went for a couple of hours. It's a good way to see a lot of the city, especially when you don't have much time to explore. Try www.canal.nl/en/ or www.hir.nl/en/ Visit some coffee shops, wander through the red light district, hire a bike.. I'm sure you'll find plenty of things to amuse yourself :) almost 9 years ago

Where are the best full moon parties in Thailand?

The full moon party is on Koh Phangan, at the south of the Island at Haad Rin. It's probably nicer to stay somewhere else on the island though where it's more secluded and quiet and get a tuk tuk down to Haad Rin and back each night if you'd like a bit of quiet each morning while you recover and if you'd like to be able to go in the water when you go to the beach. The beaches at Haad Rin are very dirty because of the Full Moon Parties.. I wouldn't swim in the water there. The rest of the island is also a lot prettier. I stayed here and it was great; http://www.sawadee.com/hotel/kohphangan/goldenhill/ I recommend visiting Koh Tao as well while you're there, it's a very pretty little island just to the north of Koh Phangan. PS If you're tempted to go to Mushy Mountain at the full moon party, it might be a better idea to wait until the night afterwards when it's quieter, and stick to alcohol in buckets for the full moon party and the nights leading up to it. almost 9 years ago

Is taking a train to the Blue Mountains, a good idea, compared to driving there?

It's easy driving up to the mountains but the train is convenient as well. If you're only going up for a day or two a train will be fine as most of the main things to see are pretty easy to get to from the train stations but it might get annoying not having your own transport if you're planning on staying longer as the bus services aren't very good (at least they weren't years ago when I lived there). almost 9 years ago
