Is it better/cheaper to pre-book all airline tickets in advance or play it by ear and buy them while abroad?

If your dates are concrete then you'd probably be best pre-booking. But as Elsa said, you may wan't to change your plans mid-trip. If that happens, then you will kick yourself for pre-booking. almost 6 years ago

where to find cheap apt or room in bangkok 11/15 - 12/15/13?

There are many hotel booking websites you can use to find fairly cheap rooms (such as hostelworld.com). But the cheapest way to find accommodation is to just turn up on the day and ask for a room. Most of the Thai travel agent (as they like to call themselves) will inflate the prices and add on commission for themselves. Best bet would be to head to Khao San Road. almost 6 years ago

What cities should I travel to in Thailand?

Head to the southeast. Bangkok is just a large dirty city. You'll get over it in a day or two. The islands such as Ko Phi Phi, Ko Samui, Phuket etc are like tropical paradises. almost 6 years ago

What are "must dos" while in Bangkok?

Ping Pong Show!!! It one of these things you have to do just to say you've done it. Buy a suit. I know it's very annoying when you get hassled left, right and centre by these suit shops, but they are very good quality and very cheap. So if you wear suits, then get a couple. They even post them home so you don't have to carry them about for the rest of your trip. almost 6 years ago

Should Argentina be avioded if you are terrified of spiders?

I have lived in Australia for 4 years and only seen a handful of decently sized spiders, so you'll be fine in Argentina. I'm not too keen on them myself, but I certainly wouldn't let the fear have any say in my travel plans. almost 6 years ago
