Is it better to book Angkor tours before or after I arrive in Siem Reap?

I agree, all the Tuk Tuk drivers know the ruins well. I think you buy a couple of day pass at the gates for the ruins. Our tuk tuk driver just took us around for a couple of days. Just negotiate a day rate and pay them at the end of the day. At our request he also took us to a MAG museum (charity that helps detonate unexpoloded bombs and helps people hurt by them) and also a military base (so we could shoot a gun). We negotiated about $12 per day but he was great so we tipped a fair bit. about 7 years ago

    Nice hostels in Roma

Try Hostel Des Artistes (info@hostelrome.com). They are a couple streets back from the Rome transit centre. They have good pricing, are basic but are clean and very helpful. They are actually a hotel but they reserve the top floor for backpackers. While I was there they printed out a train timetable for me to Venice. If you are coming from the airport then you just get a bus (shuttle) to the transit centre and then walk there. Shuttles are about 7 Euro. about 7 years ago
