    Wildlife safari in Nepal.

Chitwan National Park is a significant area to visit. We did this as part of an Intrepid tour. If you are going, it would make sense to do this as your first stop into Nepal, as it's not far from the Indian border. You can have a look at the details of the Chitwan section on this page - personally I'd skip the "traditional boat ride" into the park, I found it a very uncomfortable 2 hours. http://www.intrepidtravel.com/au/india/kathmandu-delhi-49353/tripnotes Ps. Make sure you visit Bhaktapur and Patan near Kathmandu, well worth a day trip each. Have a wonderful trip David! about 6 years ago

How risky is taking cash to Nepal

Its important to bring cash. We found most ATM's would not let us withdraw cash using an Australian credit card. Also the airport has apparently banned 500 and 1000 Indian rupee, we weren't checked but confiscation and a fine is possible. AUD or USD is readily exchanged at major hotels for a fee. over 6 years ago
