Can you recommend a 1-3 week itinerary for visiting Chile and/or Argentina this November? Thanks!

Of course Ushuaia I forgot to mention it! From El Calafate you can go to Ushuaia by plane but it's an expensive travel, I recommend to take a bus it's a 12 hours travel (from Punta Arenas),Ushuaia it's a beautiful place, I went there when I was kid but every tourist I've met tell me that It's a place that you can't miss. The best way to go from Santiago to Punta Arenas is by plane, it's the only way I travel (3 hours) but you could also take a bus but it's like a 2 days travel with non stops. Check lan.com they always have sales for tickets inside the country. The other way if you start tour travel in Argentina, (for example Buenos Aires) you can go to Rio Gallegos by plane and then take a bus to Punta Arenas (3 hours plane + 4-5 hours bus). Hope this help!!! almost 8 years ago

Sounds like 2 amazing weeks haha, see if it's better if you go from El calafate by bus to ushuaia because the tickets are almost 500 dolars and a bus it's about 57 dolars! (and I think even less) a huge difference. November is a great time of the year to visit torres del paine, I've seen pictures of Torres del Paine from last week and it look beautiful all sunny and green. And Buenos Aires it's a good time too, I'm actually living in B. Aires, this week wasn't the best of spring but I think it's going to get warmer in a few weeks. If you go directly from the airport in Punta Arenas to Puerto Natales there's a bus everyday, or you can go to Punta Arenas and take a tour to torres del paine but they are only one day tour. Starts at 5 am and you return to Punta Arenas at 11 pm. almost 8 years ago

Hi robin, I recommend you to visit the Argentinean and Chilean Patagonia In the Chilean Patagonia you can visit: Punta Arenas, Puerto Natales, the famous and beautiful Torres del Paine, Glaciars Balmaceda and Serrano. And in Argentina you can visit El Calafate and the Perito Moreno Glaciar, you can go more to the north from here, visit Bariloche, Puerto Madryn, etc. I strongly recommend you the south because I'm from Punta Arenas and I know all those places. You can visit this part of Chilean Patagonia in a week or if you like to hike you can spend an entire week at Torres del Paine it's an amazing place to hike or just to relax in a Hotel, and a few more days to know the cities. If you have any more question about this places don't be afraid to ask :) (hope you understand my english!) almost 8 years ago
