Is it a good time to visit India in October?

October is good. Not hot, not freezing, might be a little humid though. Since you are a Buddhist enthusiast, you can't miss Bodh Gaya in Bihar. Tour the entire state of Bihar; there are numerous sites of Buddhist interest here: Kushinagar, Sarnath, sanchi stupa. For a meditation retreat, go to Ladakh-Leh-Spiti. Other than that, visit kerala, rajasthan (jodhpur/udaipur/jaipur). over 6 years ago

I am a first time solo traveller and would appreciate advice on hotel check in, specifically what documents are required in India? Thank you

Not much. Just your id proof (obviously you would b carrying your passport, so u r good to go). Hotel check-in is easy in india. But if possible try n ensure the availability of rooms if you are travelling in peak holiday season which is in May-June, October and new year. And carrying currency is advisable coz often the card machines don't work esp in hostels and low budget hotels. over 6 years ago

    2 mornings in Munich

Day 1 - Go to the Deutsches Museum (though half a day is not enough), but it's worth it. Day 2- A food tour would be ideal in the morning. Walk through Munich's old town and feast on traditional Bavarian cuisine. Also visit the Schloss Nymphenburg Gardens that feature a lake, a canal, and an ice-skating ring. The place is exceptionally refreshing in the mornings. OR visit Odeonsplatz - it's like a mini tour of German history and is most suitable for visiting in the little time you have. over 6 years ago

Planning a trip to greece on sept 18-30. What are the must see cities / beaches / activities? How's the weather too?

Okay, so there are mainly two kinds of holiday options: historical/cultural tour and/or a scenic vacation by the Aegean sea. Athens for the former and the islands (Santorini, Mykonos etc) for the latter. Combine Athens, Santorini, Mykonos, Paros. Or Athens and Istanbul is also a good itinerary if you are interested in history and culture. You can choose either or a combination of both. Here are some good itinerary options: http://bit.ly/1ahPB6x over 6 years ago

Need idea to have romantic dinner in kuta / legian / seminyak bali. With budget 300-400k. Thx before

Jimbaran beach has lots of dining options right on the beach itself. Go to Jimbaran Bay. It's pretty romantic with the waves caressing your feet. Kafe Warisan is also a good place to have a nice quiet dinner. Kudeta - easy on the pocket. You can even dance here. For good restaurants in Bali, see here: http://bit.ly/19wKZXW over 6 years ago

    book cars online in India

There are many good car rental services in India. Radio taxis like Easy cabs and Meru are reliable, cheap and easily available. You can book them online or on the phone. Apart from these, there are many private taxi services you can hire. These will be even cheaper. over 6 years ago
