Best way to get from Paris to Italy?

Want to visit just Italy? Then fly from Paris to Venice, then train to Florence 3.5h, and train to Rome 3h. Paris 3 days, Venice 2 days, Florence with day trip to Siena/San Gemigniano 2 days, Rome 1 day. about 7 years ago

Best way to get from Paris to Italy?

Travelling by train is the best! Several routes ares possible depending on your choice of cities to visit in between and if you want to spend more than a day in each city. A- Paris, Lyon, Milan, Florence, Rome (would be my choice) B- Paris, Basel, Lugano, Milan, Florence, Rome (you can skip a city from Lugano on to spend more time in one other city but your train trip will be longer, maybe good for a night train) nice choice to see the Alps C- Paris, Geneva , (not sure about this train connection) Florence, Rome . Enjoy your trip! about 7 years ago

Best trains to use between Rome & Frankfurt, days only with over night stays.

The best trains are the fastest and more direct trains. I believe the best connections are these ones: Rome -Milan, Milan-Basel (on Swiss train) (best done overnight but amazing views of the alps during the day, even if there are many, many, tunnels) and Basel-Frankfurt on the german intercity express traveling at 300 k/h! over 7 years ago

Scenic train ride vs scenic cruise in Switzerland

Scenic cruise? You mean on the lakes. Scenic train rides, definitely. But many regular train rides can be very scenic. Even better, hiking up the mountains! You will see less but you will enjoy it more. And you will have your scenic train ride when going up to the starting point of your hike. Try to take a cogwheel train. over 7 years ago

Check cross-pollinate.com You can reserve through them, B&B, apartments and I believe tourist farms as well. We have used their service in Venice and it was great! Excellent service, immediate communication, nice apartments and good prices. You can contact them for suggestions or some variations for what is posted on the web. over 7 years ago

    Airport to Venice

Bus is the cheapest way but the nicest way to arrive in Venice is to take an "Alilaguna" vaporetto. Takes 45', very efficient and comfortable. 15 euros one way, cheaper buying online, cheaper if you buy your return ticket too. Check the web site www.alilaguna.it. You can go all the way to San Marco square stop. over 7 years ago
