I hope you are including St. Peter's Basilica along with the Vatican. There are early entrance tours of the Vatican that are a bit pricey, but well worth it. We used Livitaly. You go directly to the Sistine Chapel, before it is open to the public. There were a total of 20-25 people - much, much better than a previous shoulder to shoulder experience!! There were just the 2 of us w/the guide, & she made all the difference, pointing out things we would never had spotted. (Check out the tapestry of the Last Supper where Jesus is serving pork!). The tour included St. Peter's which, of course, is huge & overwhelming - much better with a guide. I agree the Colisseum is a must, as are other recommendations. There is an app called Hidden Gems of Rome that has some off the beaten path ideas, some of which were mentioned. We just got back from Rome & Venice -- incredible!! Have a great trip. over 6 years ago
Has anyone tried Delta Airlines premium economy seats on a long flight? Are they worth the extra $100?
We used economy comfort seats Brussels to JFK. The price was worth the extra legroom and earlyboarding. In fact, we've just booked them again for round trip JFK-Rome in April. over 6 years ago
