What are the most interesting sights of perugia?

Perugia is a very interesting, beautiful and majestic walled town. There are a lot of attractions but one of the nicest things is just wZndering through the narrow streets and akso along the edge of the walls of the town because the views are amazing! My favourite place is the Piazza IV Novembre. A large, grand piazza used as a meeting place for tourists and locals. in the centre stands a beautiful fountain and it is flanked by the Duomo, and the Palazzothe dei Priory both of which are very imposing. The Rocca Paolina , a fortress built over the buildings and houses destroyed by Pope Paul III. Is incredible! It is very eerie wandering round these deserted underground streets. Often there are art exhibitions present and sometimes historical plays are staged in this area. over 6 years ago

What is the best sim card for Italy?

We have used a 'Tre' '3' micro sim in our iPads for the last couple of years. Our house is located in a hill-top town in Umbria near Perugia and reception there for everything is pretty lousy but we have had no problems with getting n receiving emails, blogging etc. most of the time Skype is ok too. Down at lake level reception is perfect. We took the PAYG offer. (Ricaricabile) Got it from theTre shop outside Perugia but unless your Italian is good, do translate what you want before you ! The offer for the sim was €25 .(now I think €30 ) which breaks down as €5 for the sim and €25 credited on your phone. 3GB a month for four months. We had to buy four months useage. cant just do one month. Then you top it up either over the Internet of at local shop. If u don't use all of it you can use it once u arrive back in the UK which is good. There is a good Tre website for Italy which I would recommend looking at to see latest offers. Can def. recommend though. over 6 years ago

What are the best hill towns in Umbria and Pergia?

There are so many! We live in Castel Rigone, a beautiful small medieval hilltop town . There is an excellent hotel, Relais la Fattoria. Very good location for visiting nearby Assisi (a must!) Citta delle Pieve, Perugia (magnificent) Panicale, Cortona , Montepulciano(beautiful and so is the wine!) and yes, further away, about an hour, Orvieto is incredible. My blog will give u some idea of the area. http://paintingpizzaandperugino.wordpress.com/ AngloINFO Umbria is also extremely useful. http://umbria.angloinfo.com/ over 6 years ago
