    Children and Japan

In Osaka theres a cool aquarium and a large IMAX theater next to it that has some cool documentaries. The theatre offers a discount if you buy tickets for both. There's a ramen museum that lets you make your own cup noodles. You can buy a plain cut and decorate it, then choose 5 ingredients, they'll put them in the cup and shrink wrap it and provide a carry bag. That's at Ikeda, just north of Osaka. You can also make chicken ramen but I haven't done that yet. For a day trip, I like tennoji zoo, and spa world. The zoos not the best but good for kids, after head over to spa world. They have amusement games, and 2 themed floors of spas, one for men and the other for women. The top floor is a water park for everyone so bathing suits are required there. almost 7 years ago

    how cold janauary in kobe

Kobe is tucked between a mountain and the bay. It gets cold winds in winter and occasional snow. Expect it to be aroun 0-6 in January, but it will feel colder when the wind is out almost 7 years ago

What are the must-sees in Kyoto? How many days should I spend there? Will be in Osaka Nov 29-Dec3.

Kiyomizudera: great raised temple with a nice garden Fushimi inari: great shrine with thousands of red tori gates stacked together Kinkakuji: the gold pavilion is the postcard photo but for my money, I prefer ginkakuji (silver pavilion). The temple is boring but they a nice stone garden, moss garden and forest walk about 7 years ago

How to get from Osaka airport to downtown ? Cheapest and faster?

There's a limousine bus service that's only a couple of dollars extra. There's a bus that goes direct to Namba and another to Umeda. You won't get a good view of anything because of the highway sound guards but its a little quicker, you get a seat, and it's easier than wondering what type of train. about 7 years ago
