Road trip USA 8 weeks, what transport to use?

A great way to see the country that is not accessible by car is by train. It's cheap, you can sleep on it. You also get to see parts of the coast, mountains and through the Midwest. almost 6 years ago

What to do in the Santa Cruz area California for fun?

Rent a board in Capitola! it's one of the best places to learn how to surf in the world. Just watch put for some of the locals. Also, I would take a drive up highway 1. It's right along the coast and there are a lot of shops and beaches to stop at. Be sure to check out UCSC, one of the most beautifully colleges in the world ( ask about the UCSC trailer park and walk around, but don't drive through it) almost 6 years ago

Where is the best place to go camping in Northern California?

A great place to check out is big basin national park. It's tucked away in the redwoods and offers prime hiking and mountain biking trails. However, if you are feeling more adventurous, camping on the beaches along hwy one is a great way to see the coast. Fires are allowed on most beaches, and you can get away with camping on the more remote ones north of Carmel and even Santa Cruz. almost 6 years ago
