Plan to go to Jakarta for a tour. What should we not miss doing? Tourists spots mandatories?

Hi, jakarta is a heaven of shopping malls. In fact, many of the best restaurants are located inside the malls, from international cuisine to local food. There's a new restaurant/bar in jakarta, SKYE, located on 56th floor. You could get the best view of jakarta in the night from there. if you're planning on buying some batik, you should consider Thamrin City, there are a lot of batik variety there. For seafood lovers, there's Bandar Djakarta on Ancol and Pluit. I suggest you to try padang cuisine from any padang restaurant. If you are not a fan of shopping or cuisine trip, you could go to ragunan zoo (but it's located in bogor), taman mini indonesia indah, Kota tua, Museum nasional, etc. Hope this helps. over 7 years ago

And oh, you should also consider take a walk on pasar baru area and visit Cathedral church and Istiqlal Masjid. They are the biggest church and masjid in jakarta and located almost side by side. After a walk, especially in this dry-hot season, i recommend you to go to Ragusa for their famous homemade ice cream since the dutch era. For authentic indonesian food, try Loro Djonggrang or Merah Delima. They got a very nice javanese-traditional feel interior and ambience. over 7 years ago

I am an Indonesian Citizen with a current passport, do I need a Visa to visit penang & Langkawi. ?

Nope, as long as it's in asean region, indonesian citizen does not need any visa to travel. But do check your passport expiry date. Usually, you can not travel to another country such as singapore if your passport availability date only have six months left. over 7 years ago
