Traveling around Mongolia for a month in August; best ways for traveling alone, safety, Equiptment/clothing required?
Thank you, for the help. I am deciding between a motorbike and a jeep. And sadly I'll have to buy camping Equiptment when I am there. But thats the end of the world. What about horses? I know how to ride and take care of one. But renting/purchasing? Thanks phil, I'm going to start reading that blog now that I have decent Internet. over 7 years ago

Activities around Squamish? Visiting in middle of July.
There is a lot to do in Squamish. From Mountain Biking, rock climbing, kite surfing, Camping. You name it it can be done in Squamish. Their slogan is the outdoor capital of British Columbia. It all depends on what you like to do and or try. If you are not into the outdoors, then there are a few little coffee shops. is only a 45 minute drive. over 7 years ago

Wish to visit other areas other than the normal tourist "highlights".
My experience through Malawi was touristy. As for getting away from the tourist spots. Be careful. Follow your gut. Factories and industries aren't that exciting. Best to get into the country side. Best you can is be friendly and talk to locals over a jug of banana beer. Most will point you in the tourist directions. Malawi is the place for woodcarvings though. over 7 years ago
