I would like some suggestions on things to see and do in Bangkok, Thailand. Leave October 1st, 2012. Thanx
the grand palace, Wat po, khao?? san road - not sure how you spell it, touristy but worth a look - well like everything really, the floating markets and river kwai theres lots of tours who take you to both the markets and river kwai plus the jeath war museum for about £50, including a little boat ride. that bar mentioned above is i think the sky bar in the lebua State Tower and it is located in the Silom Area. its a fantastic view so dont forget your camera. but it is very expensive, and dress a little smart - dress/ nice shirt and trousers. also take a tuk tuk they are really fun, theres a good market too but i cant remember where it was near a river but it was huge!! and dont forget to take a thai massage sooo goood!! hope this helps a little, i was there for 3 days and packed everything ive said above in so its possible!! and i stayed in the Viengtai Hotel not the cheapest but very pleasant and central. and helpful staff. over 7 years ago

Any going to be in Thailand in August or thinking about the August Full moon party? Please let me know.
hehe wish id seen this video before i went. dont get me wrong its a fantastic night one not to be missed but just keep your senses and stick together with your mates is sooooo easy to get lost with god knows how many people on the beach. we saw some fairly shocking things too, people lying face down in the sea, girls passed out and local thai men puting stuff in their mouths, blokes pissing on each other, a 3sum on the sand - to name just a few but im glad i went and i think its defo on the list of things to do before you die!!! oh and be careful with the full moon face paint it burns and im scarred. and the stampede for the boats back to mainland at 5 in the morning, lol; but go go go!!!! over 7 years ago
HI ive travelled with intrepid before maybe4 years ago now but the tour was very well organised takes the hasstle out of booking hotels and transport, plus you see and do things that i think you wouldnt normally do if you did a self tour such as the homestays etc also for the price you stay at some pretty decent hotels along the way, as well as the small group sizes of people your age, you really get to know the others i had a fab time defo one of the highlights of my round the world trip. however i am taking my second around the world trip at the end of this year and i have a friend who has recommended Gadventures.com similar to intrepid same kind of routes but cheaper, so ive booked and am giving their discover bangkok to bali trip a try in november. its about 400 pound cheaper for similar route so for me second time round this is good price just hope its as good as last time. hope this helps laura over 7 years ago
