In the greater Vancouver area, where are the places to search for deals on clothes or great places to shop?
Robeson Street is Vancouver's answer to Rodeo Dr in Hollywood. Expensive, but beautiful items. A fun day to window shop, and I exaggerate slightly. It's not as expensive as Rodeo drive. Also try Commercial Drive. Lots of coffee shoppes and neat clothing stores. over 7 years ago
They do close the gates after dark, you can get a local to get you there by camel cart if you wish. I was unaware of the ability to get tickets in advance, however if you bring a local in with you they will cut lines for you. I saved 2 hours wait time doing this. Also I believe Tuesday is washing day... So potentially unavailable for viewing. over 7 years ago
I have a 10 hour layover in Cairo. I would like to see the pyramids. Do I need to get a visa for Egypt before I arrive?
You can get the visa when you arrive, but I did get mine in advance. You never know if you are going to be denied or for what reason. The pyramids ARE spectacular, as for the traffic issue, yes it is bad, take a taxi. Work out the fee BEFORE getting in the car and hold on tight. Lines on the road are mere suggestions. 4 lanes usually actually have 6 lanes of cars. Take the time to do the 15 minute camel tour. It's a memory maker. Again, work out the rate beforehand. Egyptians love to haggle. So haggle. ENJOY. over 7 years ago
