Are there any concerns with traveling to London during the Olympics?

Yes, overcrowding at all stations within central London and outwards to the Olympic Stadium in Stratford! Do not expect to go anywhere fast, road, trains, foot paths will be very busy. Hotel/Accomodation will be at a Premium with some rented houses near the olympic sites being as much as 2000 pounds a week. If you wish to come during this season, aim for after the olympics not before, everything should quieten down. over 7 years ago

I'm going to London. Which places can I go to learn more things?

What do you mean learn more things?, If it is museums/art galleries, I think that the British museum would be the best place to start, as it contains a good balance between paintings and artefacts. If you want a more science orientated museum, the Science Museum is one of the best I have been to in the world, with many hands on experiments and rides. If neither is your cup of tea, then the London Dungeon is a fun way to learn about ye old england with a dark twist. Hope you have a lovely time here =] over 7 years ago

Any suggestions for a great weekend trip from London?

Depends where you are in London, but if you are close to the centre then visiting Piccadilly Circus is a must! Just by Piccadilly Circus there is a China Town, Leicester Square, Fortnum and Masons and St. James Park (Home of the Queen). Although you will find many tourists there, at least it is almost impossible to get lost!! Hope you enjoy it =] over 7 years ago
