Been back packing since 1973 and have been on a 7 year break renovating an old Historic Adobe building on Historic Route 66 in New Mexico. I'm 70 years young and mountain bike for exercise. Back on the road again and loving it! Find a lot more peopole on the road now and all just as friendly.
If I take a team of elementary/secondary education leaders to Australia, which cities should we visit? What should we see and ask?
You have to get out to an Aboriginal settlement and see what Australia is doing with Satellite connections to educate the indigenous population. The North of South Aust. or out of Alice, Hermansburg, beautiful scenery and nice people. Have fun! over 7 years ago
Hey there!! Just wondering if anyone knows of any cheap but LUSH bungalow's on the beach around phi phi and Krabi area in Thailand?
I had a jerk end up on the door step of my friends place in New Zealand by over hearing the address that I gave the cab driver at the airport! I ended up with this slob for 10 days before I was able to get rid of him. And he went back to my friends place and made a complete nuisance out of himself for a week, saying I sent him! And I suffered lots of angst when I got back there several months later. My advice is don't take her as you might end up with repercussions you don't expect. Go and enjoy yourself with your friend and the other will out grow it. over 7 years ago
If you get there try Rabbit Island, off of Cambodia. Just off of Kep. $4.00 round trip in a long open fishing boat. (Sit in the bow so you don't get soaked) Bamboo bungalows with showers and all that. Rough, but does the job and not bad for $8.00 a night. About 20 bungalows available with a restaurant bar tied in with the bungalows, coconut palms along the beach and lawns along the walk ways. Picnic tables to eat off of and have a few beers. When the day trippers leave you can let your hair down and have a lot of fun... over 7 years ago
