You can take the mailboat and see all the different islands while they deliver the mail. Pack a lunch. The one island you can get off the boat for 10-15 minutes or you can stay and explore the island, then catch the next mailboat back in the afternoon. There is a little general store there. You can also bring bikes on the boat if you would like to explore the island that way. We stay in the Wells/Ogunquit area and this summer will be our 5th year. There are endless things to do and see. We like to enjoy the beach on nice days. If you like the board walk and that kind of stuff try Old Orchard Beach. If you don't like all that stuff, there are just beaches. We usually only get to spend a week up there and we never feel it's long enough. over 7 years ago
We have been to Cape Cod often but are looking for unusual things to see and do this Sept. Also recommended restaurants.
We took a lunch cruise on the Lobster Roll. We actually had really delicious lobster roll for lunch. It is located in Dennis so I don't know how far you will be from that. You can pull up reviews and info on the Internet. over 7 years ago
