Safest way to get to the Bronx from manhattan or Brooklyn, what areas should I avoid?
Agree - I have never had any problems on the subway (apart from sometimes getting off at the wrong stop). If travelling by yourself there are "safe zones" to travel in and I strongly suggest you take heed of these. The latest I ever travelled on the subway in NY by myself was 8pm, after that I would catch a taxi. about 9 years ago

Are U.S. dollars accepted in Sydney?
Credit cards are also accepted in Australia and New Zealand - but be careful of the charges. Your card issuer may put an additional fee. about 9 years ago

I'm looking to go to a beach in Vietnam and wondering if I will be able to find affordable accommodation along a nice beach for 2-3 weeks?
Try using agoda for last minute accommodation. I have done this in south east asia with a lot of success. www.agoda.com I found a beautiful villa through this website which was less than a third of the normal room rate. about 9 years ago

Going to Bangkok, Thailand on Feb, and planning to make a side trip to Siem Reap, Cambodia. Will a day be enough to explore the temples?
I also found the best way was a short flight rather than overland on dodgy roads in a coach. about 9 years ago

Going to Bangkok, Thailand on Feb, and planning to make a side trip to Siem Reap, Cambodia. Will a day be enough to explore the temples?
I would suggest a minimum of 2 days for Siem Reap so that you can see all of the temples. Early morning at Angkor Watt is stunning (sunrise) and late afternoon at Bayon is gorgeous - there are a few in between. You can buy a multi day national park pass and its worth it. Take the time to really wander through them rather than rush to get the main ones done. about 9 years ago

Visiting Melbourne and Adelaide in a week's time. What must do and visit beside vineyard?
Melbourne is my favourite Australian city - I love it for the food, shopping, walking around the city and the best customer service in the world. Walking the streets of Melbourne for colourful cultural experiences, you will find laneways of artworks and great little cafes/wine bars. Adelaide is also a lovely city - but a lot quieter than Melbourne or Sydney. Expect a lot of gardens and churches. Travel up to the Adelaide Hills for some "German" style villages including little restaurants and art galleries and then keep going until you reach the Barossa Valley (beyond the Clare Valley). about 9 years ago
