What the best dive site in indonesian?

Having just returned this week........ Pemuteran in North West Bali - http://www.reefseenbali.com/ Labuan Bajo, Flores - http://www.divekomodo.com/ I found everything in Flores at least half the price of Bali, still well set up and very good equipment that was well maintained, less tourists and stunning sites. There are quite a few dive shops in Labuan Bajo but not all are licensed and not all with assess your level of diving capabilities prior. Similarly in Pemuteran, it concerned me that anyone can go on a dive without producing your certificate and get into all sorts of trouble. I dont think there is a chamber in Labuan Bajo but I could be wrong. It would mean that in the event of an issue, you would need a sea level flight (air ambulance) back to Bali. Amed (North East Bali), Nusa Lembongan and Nusa Penida are also meant to be gorgeous dive sites. over 7 years ago

What is a good, cheap apartment-type place for two people to stay in the Perth area?

I agree with Brenton, Perth accommodation is not cheap, and very rare! We found the cottages at the Old Fremantle prison fantastic. They were affordable, available and close to the places we wanted to go to. http://www.fremantlecolonialaccommodation.com.au/bed_breakfast_perth.htm We wanted to be close to family and friends as well as Rottnest Island, Penguin Island and the cafes of Fremantle. Another great website that I use for accommodation (everywhere) is www.agoda.com over 7 years ago

With a 10 day layover in South Africa, what low cost touring would you recommend an adventurous but older couple?

Oh! You lucky people. Bushlore will hire you a 4WD with roof top tents, why not consider driving to Chobe (North of Botswana) and spend a few days there. Alternatively, a drive to Durban, Port Elizabeth is not that far (but also not that nice). Swaziland offers some great safari attractions. Or, drive to Cape Town which is beautiful and spend some time relaxing on the beach away from lions. Just be careful of the baboons ;) over 7 years ago

Am interested in a cruise with ports in australia and new Zealand? Thinking about 1/13

Try Royal Caribbean Cruises, they have so many cruises ex Sydney to NZ. I have never been on one, but went to a launch function last year. Was fun, they seem like a young funky crowd. Carnival also have a lot of cruises ex sydney, with a few gimmicky ones like "Celebrity Cruise". over 7 years ago

Where can I sell my used trekking gear in Thamel, Kathmandu?

Have you considered leaving a sign with photos at a hostel? Someone arriving might just be looking for some second hand equipment. over 7 years ago

What is the cheapest form of public transportation I can take to get from Newark International into Manhattan?

I hired a private driver through Executive Limousines - it was cheaper than a taxi and quicker than the train. All I wanted after an 18hr flight to NY was a comfy place to rest my head for a few hours :) I believe it cost about $45USD from Newark to downtown. over 7 years ago

I'm looking for a wool felt making workshop or factory tour in Kathmandu.

There is a lovely little shop called "Didi's" in Kathmandu run by women, which supports village projects. You can visit the workshop and see all kinds of craft's being made and then purchase for reasonable prices. I would steer clear of factory tours of carpets and other "attractions" as often they will be run by unethical people who exploit children (child slave labour). Walking throughout the streets of Kathmandu you will likely be approached by people offering a carpet tour, so please either research prior or ask a lot of questions to avoid supporting such organisations. over 7 years ago
