Is it safe to travel to Morocco.

Its very safe! Doing a bit of research before hand on where you are going, staying and what you might want to do can help. You might find some info on this link useful as your daughter prepares http://fescooking.com/top-box/morocco-travel-advice almost 6 years ago

What are the most authentic places to go in Morocco?

Amellago - a small Berber village in the High Atlas will provide you with a totally authentic cultural experience. You can include a stop here in a tour to the South. Outside of the usual places of Fes, Marrakech and the desert - which are well worth a visit - there are also some wonderful places to visit in the north. Have a look at www.fescooking.com for some ideas or look at their facebook page for some pictures http://www.facebook.com/pages/Fes-Cooking-Cultural-Tours/166822340132621?ref=hl over 6 years ago

Is it safe for 2 middle aged women to travel in Morocco independently or should we sign up for a tour of some kind? Thank you

As others have said - yes it is very safe. One thing you might like to consider is that to get to some of the really special places in Morocco - and there are a lot of them hidden away - it can be worth organising an personalised tour - where you have your own driver and guide. Have a look at www.fescooking.com to get an idea of different places to visit or their facebook page http://www.facebook.com/pages/Fes-Cooking-Cultural-Tours/166822340132621?ref=hl over 6 years ago
