I'm trying to find a tutor in Madrid since I only speak English and French; does anyone have any suggestions?
The Universidad Complutense de Madrid in Moncloa may have a forum where students offer up their time for tutoring. over 7 years ago
It's usually hellish downtown unless you are willing to pay for parking. Other hoods aren't that bad-typical city hunting for spots kind of thing, but not insurmountable. Where are you staying? I would leave the car at your hotel car park and walk or bus it everywhere. One other thing to consider is leaving it parked in a quieter neighborhood that only does street cleaning once a week (such as Haight/panhandle area, or SOMA). almost 8 years ago
Boogaloos is great, and I am also a fan of San Jalisco on South Van Ness and 20th for good chilaquiles. almost 8 years ago
A great day out is taking the train to Hampton Court palace along the Thames past Kingston on Thames. If it's nice weather and you're fancy a good stretch of the legs, walk from Kingston on Thames along the river to Hampton Court. Great pubs in Kingston and Hampton to enjoy a pub lunch. Another good day trip is Windsor castle past Heathrow. The other one is going to visit Churchill's home in the country Chatwell and you can see his studio where he painted. Further afield: Brighton, and easy to get to from Victoria station (I think) Cambridge Oxford Have fun! almost 8 years ago
