What is the most exclusive and beautiful beach spot in the coast of Spain where a nice house near the beach can be rented?

Check out Nerja, about 45 minutes from Nerja. Plenty of beach, plenty of good weather, and plenty of accommodations to rent overlooking the beach. We call it Paradise so we are a bit biased, but Nerja has plenty to offer and is really a great place! Check it out! over 7 years ago

Whats a good location for 3 families ( main interests food & sightseeing) in souther Spain for a one month stay. Teenage children

A great spot along the coast is Nerja, about 45 minutes from Malaga and about an hour and twenty minute drive from Grenada. Nerja is in one of the best, least built-up and spoiled parts of the Costa del Sol. Nerja is backed up be mountains and a National Park and has great weather in the Fall and Spring. It's a very pleasant place, with a lot to offer for families (beach, hiking, great eating, easily reached historical attraction, the Nerja Caves, festivals, plenty of reasonably priced family accommodations and friendly people). It's popular with families, Spanish and other nationalities, with a pleasant off-season laid back atmosphere! Check it out and have fun! over 7 years ago

Where to buy a holiday appartment along the Spanish coast?

If you are looking for a quiet spot along the coast, check out Nerja, which is about 45 minutes drive from Malaga Airport. This part of the Costa do Sol is relatively unspoiled, and still has a pleasant small town atmosphere, not like the overbuilt areas on the other side of Malaga down to Marbella. Nerja has a great national park with mountains behind it, great weather (although as I write this in August it's hot), and a good international vibe! It's popular with Spanish tourists as well as other nationalities. There are great deals on holiday apartments, and plenty of selection of different types (apartments, townhouses and villas). It doesn't have the layers of high rises and urban build-up typical of so many other Spanish resort areas! Check it out! We love it! over 7 years ago

Spain - what is the best time to visit Spain and where you should go?

For Andalusia, I think the two best months are May and September. As I write this in early June, the weather is fine, but it's starting to get hot, and will only get hotter in July and August. Last Winter in Nerja was great, but it was wetter and colder the prior two winters. Having said that, most of Andalusia as good weather year around! You can always find some activity suited to the weather. There were a Million skiers in the mountains above Granada, and like in parts of California, it would be possible to ski and go to the beach on the same fantastic Winter day! over 7 years ago

how can i arrange a desert excursion in jeddah ?

Check out Medain Saleh! It is accessed via Medina Airport, and you would have to go with an organized tour group but you would find it amazing! Do a Google search for details. We lived in Jeddah for nine years and my daughter is currently working in Riyadh. She and her husband went there recently and enjoyed it! Another suggestion is the Farasan Islands in the Red Sea, accessible from Jizan. Have fun! over 7 years ago

When does the main tourist season start in Spain?

Tourists come to the various parts of Spain throughout the year. However, clearly the peak season for much of mainline Spain is in the Summer, particularly for the beach resorts, with July and August the most busy months. In my experience, you can enjoy Spain anytime of the year. Personally, here in Nerja, I think May, June, September and October are fantastic! almost 8 years ago

National Parks of Spain - where to spend 5 days in the middle of March

Consider Nerja in Andalusia. It's on the Med, backed up by the Sierra de Almijara and Sierra Tejada National Parks. This is the unspoiled Costa del Sol, with beautiful mountains and great weather. If you like mountain hiking this is the place! Weather in the middle of March should be great - maybe not for sun bathing, but sunny and pleasant for hiking and touring. Nerja is about 45 minutes from Malaga (Picasso Museum) and about 75 minutes from Granada (Alhambra Palace, but make early reservation). Check out www.hikingwalkingspain.com and www.nerjatoday,com web sites for more information. Have fun! almost 8 years ago
