    Thailand for oldies....

If you are looking for a beach stay in a mellow area, try Lanai beach in Koi Samai. No where near as noisy and loud as Chaweng Beach, but still plenty of restaurants to choose from. Definately a mixed crowd, so minimal loud, young backpackers. Try staying at the Lamai Inn 99, it's located right on the beach. It is also a quck 3 minute walk to the village center. about 8 years ago

I want to go to Thailand and train in Muay Thai. Looking for a website or somebody to talk to who can help square me away.

Here is the website for somebody who teaches this in Columbus Ohio. Her name is Hope Vitellas. Maybe she can give you advice. Here is the email to the business: shortnorthmuaythai@gmail.com over 8 years ago

Is it okay to generally carry a red day backpack in Thailand considering the red and yellow t-shirt controversy?

I would not if I were you. You are a stranger in a strange (but wonderful) land, why invite controversy. over 8 years ago

    3 week itenary for Australia

Hi Carole. I am heavy into Photography, so anything scenic in Melbourne would be great. I guess this is the reason I am really looking forward to the Great Ocean Road more than any other part of the trip. Thank you again for the feedback. over 8 years ago

Thanks folks, also, do you think January would be too crowded of a month to go. I was thinking maybe February or March instead if so. Thanks! over 8 years ago

Where are you going to travel in Thailand ?

Well, I have already been to the Southern Islands and Phucket and Phi Phi. The only place I was not impressed with is Koh Samui, way too loud and Lamai had trash on the beach. Next time I plan to hit Koh Samet, Koh Chang, Trang and Krabi. over 8 years ago

When is the good time to visit Thailand?

Well the peak season is December, January, February. The most people will be here, but that also means the prices will be at the peak as well. If you want to save money, go in April, May or June, where the rates will be lowered and it's before Monsoon season. over 8 years ago
