Hi I'm Canadian woman going to Colombia for 3 months. Was wondering about going to venezuela as well. An must visit locales? Safety issues?

If I were you I would definitely avoid unnecessary travel to Venezuela. Crime is rampant and authorities extremely corrupt and incompetent. Venturing into Venezuela by crossing borders poses a high risk as Venezuelan officials, most of them involved with drug trafficking will try to get something from you, specially if you have blatant foreign features, stick to Colombia only. Hope that anytime Venezuela can overcome its poor safety issues. about 8 years ago

Where can I eat in Caracas?

Caracas is a very expensive city and the quality standards of pricey restaurants leave a lot to be desired, customer service culture is almost non-existing and unfortunately is is the rule throughout the country. There are many places to eat but it all depends on your budget. Stick to fast food chains, they are ubiquitous in the city. about 8 years ago

How is the cheapest way to get to Chocó / Colombia?

I can say I'm a pundit on Colombia's travel. Choco region is a mega diverse area with thick jungles making it impossible to be reached by bus or car. A road in poor condition links the regional capital of Quibdo with central Colombia, but to make it to Bahia Solano on the pacific coast you'll definitely have to fly. The best choice is to fly from Medellin Olaya airport in the city itself which handles regional air traffic and not be be confused with Rionegro airport which handles international traffic and is far from the city centre. Try visiting Satena airlines website where you can get an estimate. ADA aerolinea de Antioquia also flies to Bahia Solano from Medellin with a stopover in Quibdo. about 8 years ago

What is the best paragliding flying site in Colombia south America

Give a try to Santander province specifically Bucaramanga the capital city of that region. It's really spectacular and there are schools specialising in such discipline. Around Ruitoque plateau in the outskirts of Bucaramanga you can find frequent action. For the adventuresome, heading south to Chicamocha Canyon is also an option but tough and challenging. Enjoy Colombia and Santander, it's referred to as a "land of adventure" about 8 years ago

What are the best otaku towns in Japan?

The Otaku Mecca in Japan is Akibahara 秋葉原 district in Tokyo. You shouldn't look further, once you make it to Akibahara you'll have reached the right place. It's very accessible just take the loop JR Yamanote line and get off at the so-named station. about 8 years ago
