Planning to go to China this December. Need help where's the best place to spend 7 days with my family. Going to visit Hanging temple also.

China is a huge country. Traveling up and down may take some time if you have only 7 days. I would suggest that you go to Beijing. It's the capital and there are lots of great things to do and see. The Forbidden City, The Summer Palace, The Temple of Heaven, The silk market, where you'll get great bargain shopping. The food is very good, people are very friendly. It will be a bit cold, but there's nothing better than good clothing for that. almost 8 years ago
