Going to be in Singapore in December for 5 days , what is some of the must do

A visit to the Singapore Zoological Gardens is a must. Lots of attractions in Sentosa including Universal Studios Singapore and also Resort World. You can take the cable car ride into Sentosa from Mount Faber. Mid to high end shopping at Orchard and great street shopping at Bugis Market. Singapore is a food paradise so check out places like Newton Hawker Center, Lau Pa Sat, Makansutra at Glutton Bay, Maxwell Market. For a bit of old time charm, head down to Changi Village for the famous Nasi Lemak. Take a walk along the Changi Boardwalk for a bit of a nature trail and take a bum boat ride to Pulau Ubin which is an off shore island of Singapore for a bit of nature and a feel of "kampong" or village life and visit the Chek Jawa wetlands for a bit of Eco-tourism. Other bits of historical sight-seeing in town will be the Boat Quay or Clarke Quay area where you can try out one of the few tours available either by bum boat or by a classic world war amphibious vehicle(Duck Tours). If you're into clubbing, Zouk is a definite must go on Wednesday for their Mambo Nights where patrons dance with synchronised hand gestures according to song lyrics. They've great music on Friday and Saturday's as well. St James Powerstation is also a must for it's all in one entertainment concept with one cover charge giving you access to about 9 different outlets with different musical concepts. Complete with its own restaurant and hawker centre. Most parts of Singapore are accessible by the 'subway' or MRT. But buses and taxis are aplenty. You can get from one end of Singapore to the other via taxi in under 1hr so be sure not to limit yourself to just the city area because Singapore is alive in so many ways all across the island. Hope you enjoy your trip! Cheers! almost 9 years ago
