What are the top places for scotch and haggis and sights to see in Glasgow?
Pot Still on Hope street is correct but any decent pub in Glasgow will have decent whisky, as any decent non-specialist restaurant will have decent haggis. For both, and decent beer, decent service, and a proper scottish pub try the Babbity Bowster. The Cafe Gandolfi is a Glasgow institution you'll get some classy haggis in there, plus the whisky, and a lot more besides. Go to The Corinthian and The Counting House for city centre pubs with great interiors, The Art School and the Hunterston Museum for Rennie Macintosh. Walk the Merchant City, Princes Square, Ashton Lane, have a pint in Jinty McGintys, do a play and a pint at lunchtime in Oran Mor. The Horseshoe bar if you want a proper old school Glasgow pub. over 7 years ago

Best time to visit Scotland nature?
May is usually the best month as the midges haven't usually got going properly. You will get varied weather but if you've got the gear it's oftern also a very beautiful month. June is often wetter and in April it can still be pretty cold and windy. over 8 years ago

Any ideas of accommodation in Italy for husband and wife, 48 and 50, planning 3 month holiday? We're not wealthy so can't be too expensive.
Check out the Agrotourism websites. You can stay in lovely places much more cheaply than hotels. over 8 years ago
