Do the whiskey trail where u get to visit some of the oldest distilleries in Scotland. Also the castle is a must see in Edinburgh. The tour of the highlands is also recommended. almost 8 years ago

Anyone been to Dubai Outlet Mall? Is it worth the trip?

Have been to a couple of times. Branded stuff at heavily discounted prices. The defects are not noticeable at all. The only probs with such shops is that ur choices may be limited. Definitely worth a visit. almost 8 years ago

Coming in oman in late october from dubai.. What's your top3 to do?

Oman has a lot os scenic beauty to offer. Place to c - try wadi bani khalid. Its a beautiful oasis with an enjoyable trek to a cave. The matra souq is an amazing place for deals. Musundum is another fav tourist area in oman. You may also want to check out salalah which is about 800 Kms from muscat. It's a coastal town and nothing like a desert at all. It's lush green with palm trees and plantations all round. The kharif season is the best time to go there almost 8 years ago

Two women visiting Abudhabi on tourist visas ; can we visit and return Oman on same visas, any suggestions as how best to do so?

Nick - first of all Abudhabi visa and Oman require separate visa as they are two diff countries. Chek the oman website for nationalities for whom 'visa on arrival' is offered. If they fall in that list, then shud not b a problem. If not you will have to apply or visit visa in advance. Probably the same way they r coming to Abu dhabi. If they get visa on arrival for Abu dhabi 99% they will be eligible or visa on arrival in Oman as well. Word of caution though - UAE has a rule saying that one u exit on a visit visa you cannot come return for a month. (this is not a hard and fast rule, just to prevent people from working here on a visit visa) but still u may have some explaining to do if u go to Oman and then come back to Abu dhabi again. almost 8 years ago

I'm travelling to Dubai by the end of March (holiday with my family). Can I travel by car from Dubai and how much time it takes?

If your query is about driving from muscat to Dubai then yes it's a nice drive. The roads are good and the visa process if not cumbersome. Its a total of 4hs drive and about another half hour to clear the visa procedure at both the borders. over 7 years ago
