I am going to Okinawa in a few weeks. Anybsuggestions on food and things to see? Thx

Now is a great time to visit Okinawa because the weather is not as hot as it was just a month ago. Okinawa's aquarium is a great visit, as is the Shuri castle ruins. I'd also visit Kokusai (sp?) street for the little shops and vendors. There are many beaches to visit though it may be a little off season. Okinawa is known for it's many dive spots as well. There are many restaurants with a lot of variety. Okinawan food is typically things like soba, taco rice and a lot of pork based dishes. There are many Americans living on Okinawa because of the US military. There is a website that is run primarily by military spouses called Okinawa Hai. Look it up, tons of good useful info for your trip. about 8 years ago

traveling to Japan in august. Weather at mt.fuji? Highs and lows?

Japan in august is hot! However at the top of mt Fujian there may still be snow so you should dress in layers. At the top the most you'll need is a good fleece sweater with perhaps a long sleeved shirt underneath. Good shoes are very important. I wouldn't wear low cut sneakers because there is a lot of loose gravel especially on the way down and it would definitely get in your shoes. But you don't need full on hiking gear for this climb. about 8 years ago

Is it worth the $54 entry fee for the Biltmore Estate in Asheville, NC? Is there a cheaper time to go then the fall?

Best time to go to Asheville is in the fall! I enjoyed the biltmore but I don't know what I paid to see it. I'd pay $54 to see it for the first time. Check out their vineyard, had a great time there too! about 8 years ago
