What foods should I try when I'm in London if I want to get a taste for the British culinary culture and not just fish and chips?

Great question! The food here is sadly understated! So believe it or not the most popular dish in England at the moment is… curry! Our English version of the Indian cuisine is not to be missed especially if you're heading to East london you'll need to check out what Brick Lane has to offer http://www.aladinbricklane.co.uk/ If you are wanting to steer down the more traditional route then in my opinion the path to taste bud heaven lies in Bangers and Mash - Sausages with caramelised onion gravy, The Lancashire Hotpot, my number one choice for a toasty winter casserole of meat and vegetables topped with sliced potatoes and my total favourite is Spotted Dick, the ever pleasing sounding steamed pudding stuffed with currants and topped with custard! http://uktv.co.uk/food/recipe/aid/513173. Enjoy!!!! almost 8 years ago

    Trains running south from bangkok

Although the trains are good I suggest you look into buses also. I travelled throughout Thailand by Bus and found them reliable and cheaper than quotes by train. almost 8 years ago

Headed to Croatia with a friend- Which is a more exciting destination; Zagreb or Dubrovnik?

Zagreb is a nice place but definitely not as happening as Dubrovnik. If you want to experience more of an all-round Croatia I would suggest the latter city for the true experience almost 8 years ago

There are a lot of clubs based in the centre but THE number one tourist and locals club is in "sol" and is called "JOY eslava". They play all the commercial music as well as the local latin and spanish songs. http://www.joy-eslava.com/Joy_Madrid/Welcome_Intro.html If you are looking for an indie alternative try "Nells" http://www.exclusive-places.com/en/clubs/item/667-nells almost 8 years ago

Traveling Europe by train. Where do I start and how much budget do I need for the whole trip (including food and lodging)?

Your budget definitely depends on what kind of traveling you are doing. There are such a arrange of things to do in Europe you If you can specify a little more I can try to help you to budget... Where in Europe are you thinking of travelling? East/ West/ North/ South? All over? Main cities that you would like to hit?! I did a trip of Western E in 2004 for the summer for 5 weeks and spent about £1200 including flights. train tickets and well everything for the hostels etc. We started in Seville, Spain and worked our way up by train via Madrid, Barcelona, up the west coast to France. Travelled all along the south of France, Down Italy to Naples and back up again to Switzerland and then went via Paris back to London. It was amazing fun! almost 8 years ago
