I'm a little world hopper. I started in 2006, and soon figured out I couldn't stop. Learning languages is one of my biggest interests, along with discovering new cultures.
I am a big day-dreamer, I love me some fun, and I can get lost in a bookstore.
A good time, some laughs, a long-lastin
Max Brenner, right by Union Square. The food is simple but delicious and the serving size and quality go hand in hand with the price. Don't forget to save some space for desert, after all chocolate is the bald man's specialty! over 8 years ago
There is a place in the French Quarter called The Shelter (an actual former bomb shelter remade into a bar) where you can find locals and expats alike listening to what are definitely amongst the most innovative mixes in the city. The vibe is great and the entrance price varies from 3 to 8 dollars depending on who's mixing that night. Highly recommend this place!! over 8 years ago
I plan to visit Barcelona during new year eve with my wife. is good idea? İt will be the first time for us. Any attraction or fest?
It is a great idea. There will be parties everywhere. Something you need to know about new year in Spain is this really fun tradition. When the new year comes, people gather to hear the bells. They strike 12 times (the first 4 don't count because they are the quarters), and with each strike, you have to eat one grape. This tradition means you will enter the new year with good luck if you finish all of them in time (everybody has a full mouth and juice all over their faces and they hug and laugh). If you are still there the 5th at night, try to catch one of the "cavalgatas" where there are people dressed up as the three kings, their servants, and even real camels sometimes. They march down the streets and throw candy to the people that come out. over 8 years ago
