Considering a destination wedding for ~50 people in costa rica - any suggestions on location/boutique hotels? Any success stories out there?

Check out Alma del Pacifico on the Central Pacific coast (http://www.iconicweddings.com/Iconic-Destinations/Costa%20Rica.aspx ). We have done plenty of weddings. It's a small hotel but attached to a larger resort with condos & houses available for rent.Really intimate setting! Also, i can really recommend Sylvia Guardia for photograpy (http://sylviaguardia.com/weddings.php) - she's super talented plus very responsive and professional. almost 7 years ago

Where can I do bird-watching in Costa Rica?

there are a couple of places that i know of on the Central Pacific to do some birdwatching- the first is Carara National Park (http://www.costarica-nationalparks.com/cararanationalpark.html). You can hire a naturist guide for the hike. The second is on the Tarcoles River boat tour. Known for the crocodile element of the tour, the majority of the tour is spent finding birds. almost 7 years ago

costa rica tours for seniors? Whats reccomended?

For the less active I would recommend the Aerial Tram tour near Jaco beach (http://www.rainforestadventure.com/costa_rica_pacific_tours_excursions/) or any of the mangrove boat tours. There are mangrove tours on both the Tarcoles River (known for crocodiles & birds) and the Damas River (known for monkeys). almost 7 years ago
