Work Holiday Visa for Germany (New Zealander)

I don't think it will matter too much if it's not from that day. It's just bureaucratic stuff really. I'm pretty sure my print out was from a few weeks earlier, I'm not sure she even checked the date, just the balance. almost 8 years ago

What are your top tips on reducing costs while travelling in Iceland?

Bring a very good sleeping bag, a tent, and cooking things, and try to be as self sufficient as possible. Hitch hiking isn't too difficult there either, although depending what side you're on, traffic can be a bit sparse. Bring as many essential items as you can with you so you don't need to do too much shopping there. But don't be too worried about the essential costs involved in visiting one of the most beautiful countries in the world...go and see the sights, they're worth seeing. almost 8 years ago

Work Holiday Visa for Germany (New Zealander)

Hey, I went through this at the start of this year, at the Ausländerbehörde in Berlin. I gather that you're already in Germany and not applying through an Embassy somewhere...and I think for Australians and NZers its the same process. I had to wait a couple weeks for an appointment, and before doing that, had to register at the local Burgeramt to get my Personalauswiesnummer (personal I.D. number). But once I had the appointment, I went along on the day with photo copy of passport, a bank statement from my Australian bank account (just a print out from internet banking), a copy of my travel insurance (which was only valid for 10 months) and I think that's pretty much it. I also had a confirmed(but not paid for) print out for a flight back to Aus for around the same date as my insurance expiration date, but the lady didn't care about that. THey gave me a working holiday visa on the spot which was valid for 12 months from date of issue, despite my insurance not going the full time etc. almost 8 years ago
