Can I buy a travel insurance to travel to Zurich (Swiss), Rome and Paris if I am now studying in Sweden under a 6-month exchange programme?

Hi Lim, Sarah from worldnomads.com. here. If you are a permanent resident of Singapore (you have unlmited right of entry to Singapore, have access to long term healthcare and a permanent address in Singapore, and you would want to be repatriated to Singapore in the event of an emergency) you can purchase a policy even though your trip is beginning and ending in Sweden. When purchasing a policy after you have already left your country of permanent residence, there is a 3 day waiting period for all benefits to become active from time of policy purchase. The pre-trip cancellation benefit does not apply as you are considered to have already started travelling. If you have any further questions, please contact our customer service team who will be more than happy to answer any of your questions, using the following link: http://www.worldnomads.com/contactus.aspx Safe travels! over 7 years ago

Any tips on budget travel in Chiang Mai?

There are lots of great cheap places to stay. Try Sri Pum house, it's great location, lots of little places to eat nearby and is inside the wall. http://www.sriphumhouse.com/ over 7 years ago

Any recommendations for things to do in Chiang Mai?

Ironically, there's a fantastic Italian restuarant behind the Amora hotel! Thai's really know their Italian food! The Sunday walking market is fantastic. The best thing about Chiang Mai is that there are heaps of tiny little places to eat hidden around the place (like Blue Diamond) and the food is always fantastic. Also the guys that make the crepes on the side of the road around the moat are awesome. over 7 years ago

Empire State Building observatory or Top of the Rock?

Empire State - go at night the view is beautiful. I wasn't really impresed with Top of the Rock. It's also difficult to get out of Rockefeller once you've come down. over 7 years ago
